Pink has sent her congratulations to a fan who gave birth at her concert in Liverpool this week.

Denise Jones, 32, went into labour during opening number Get The Party Started at Anfield Stadium on Tuesday and gave birth to a baby girl she has named Dolly Pink.

Pink reacted to the news on Instagram with the ‘sign of the horns’ emoji and said: “Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started.”

Dolly Pink was born at 8.49pm on Tuesday June 25th weighing 6lb 4.5oz.

Mum Jones told the Liverpool Echo: "I'm still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert.

"But I couldn't be any happier right now!

"The plan was to call her Dolly Louise but since she was born in the concert we've changed it to Dolly Pink.

"It all went very fast but the paramedics were amazing and were so happy themselves that both of them were healthy."

Doctors John Matthews and Dani Berg were both on duty in the stadium and after negotiating their way through the crowds they established that Jones was in labour and took her to a First Aid room beneath the stands.

Jones, who was 36 weeks and five days pregnant delivered her baby girl within five minutes, with no pain relief.

Dr Berg praised the stewards who helped them get through the crowds of fans to the First Aid room.

"If it hadn't been for them, we would have had to deliver the baby in the main stand with 4,600 people watching us," she said.

"It brought a whole new meaning to the Pink song, 'I'm coming out so you better get the party started!'"
