Pink Supermoon Caught Setting Behind Brooklyn Tower

A low-hanging full supermoon was spotted setting behind a building in New York City on April 27.

Video shot by Max Guliani from Manhattan’s Lower East Side shows the new pink supermoon hanging low behind the One South First building across the East River in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The moon appeared full from Sunday to Wednesday, as it approached its closest orbit to Earth.

NASA said “since the Moon will be at its fullest less than 12 hours before perigee (when the Moon is at its closest to the Earth in its orbit), this will be a supermoon.” Credit: Max Guliani via Storyful
