Pippa Middleton is 'pregnant with her first child' and Duchess of Cambridge 'couldn't be happier'
Pippa Middleton is pregnant with her first child, according to new reports.
The Sun on Sunday has claimed that Duchess of Cambridge’s sister and her financier husband James Matthews told friends they are expecting.
Kate, who is herself heavily pregnant, ‘could not have been more delighted’.
Pippa, 34, and James, 42, who were married last May, reportedly told friends the good news after the 12-week scan.
‘When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously overjoyed. Sister Kate and parents Carole and Michael were the first people she told after James and they could not have been more pleased.’
It’s believed the baby is due in October.
Pippa gained global fame when she acted as maid of honour at the 2011 wedding of her sister Kate to Prince William, who is second in line to the British throne.
The baby news comes after Pippa’s father-in-law David Matthews was hit with a second allegation of rape.
Earlier this month, Matthews, 74, was accused of raping a minor in St Barts and again in Paris.
The alleged victim, a British woman, is now in her 30s.
