Pizza Express making big change to UK restaurants 'starting from Tuesday'

Pizza Express has announced a new Christmas menu that will start in DAYS. Fans can expect to see the return of some old dishes, and the arrival of new ones from Tuesday, November 12, the high street pizza chain and Italian restaurant has said.

Pizza Express, which has restaurants in the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, and further afield too, says the menu for the festive season includes a mix of beloved classics and exciting new dishes for the holiday season.

The festive menu will make its comeback in restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, November 12, with the famous snowball dough ball day following on Tuesday, November 19. This year, they'll return in the form of a wreath, perfect for sharing.

In addition to the wreath, the Romana Christmas feast pizza will be making a comeback. It is a festive flavour explosion featuring juicy pulled turkey, spinach, sage, and cranberry sauce; the truffle dough balls, dough balls coated in truffle and garlic butter, generously sprinkled with gran Milano cheese and black pepper; and the new Romana figgy formaggi pizza, a blend of blue cheese, cheddar, and mozzarella on a béchamel sauce base, topped with balsamic syrup, gran Milano cheese and spiced white wine marinated figs.

For those who love sprouts, PizzaExpress is introducing its brand new festive sprouts, where Brussels sprouts are roasted with garlic butter and topped with gran Milano cheese and crispy breadcrumbs, the high street giant has also confirmed.

The festive menu will also see the return of the dough balls in blankets, featuring PizzaExpress' signature dough balls, wrapped in crispy pancetta, served with a sage garnish, a sprinkle of gran Milano cheese and a honey and mustard dip.

Lastly, the menu welcomes back the Romana mushroom and truffle, a classic mix of mushrooms on a béchamel sauce base, with creamy ricotta, mozzarella, garlic and rosemary, finished with gran Milano cheese, fresh parsley and truffle oil.
