A new Italian restaurant that specialises in Neapolitan pizza has announced itself as the next addition to Brightwells Yard in Farnham. Monte Forte already has eateries in Surrey and Sussex, including in Reigate, Redhill, and Horsham.

The company now has its sights set on expansion at the development alongside previously confirmed tenants Nando’s , Coppa Club, and REEL Cinema. This is as well as Jetts Gym, a Pilates Movement studio, and a Pirates Landing themed kid’s soft play.

Monte Forte posted on Instagram at the end of May to announce the new restaurant along with details of a planned opening. The company said: “We are very excited to let all of you know our next Monte Forte will be in Farnham, Surrey.

“Joining in August 2024, our Farnham restaurant will be staying true to the values we’ve built over the last five years, bringing you the best Neapolitan pizza and exceptional service with passion.”

Monte Forte added: “This wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our amazing teams, the hard work behind the scenes, and our incredibly loyal customers. Your support means everything to us.”

Plans shared by the restaurant online alongside the post show the restaurant will be a unit across from REEL Cinema. This means it will be at the Brightwells House end of the square which is set to soon be home to Coppa Club, once renovation work is completed.

People reacted to the news online and described the move as “fantastic” and claimed the restaurant would be a “brilliant addition to Brightwells”. Developers of Brightwells Yard confirmed in April that Nando’s and 24-hour gym, Jetts are in line to open.

This followed initial reports in January that Nando’s had plans for the site. Themed pirate play area, Pirate’s Landing, and The Pilates Movement were announced at the start of May. REEL Cinema was the first unit to open at the site in February. Developer Crest Nicholson has been contacted for details of further openings
