A Place in the Sun presenter says 'I'll be honest with you' after couple make complaint
A couple searching for their dream home on Channel 4's A Place In The Sun told presenter Jean Johansson she had given them a 'headache'.
The couple from County Durham have been married for twenty four years. Maxine first visited Cyprus when she was sixteen, and fell in love. Maxine and John got married in Cyprus and have been going there on holiday for the past three decades.
They were looking for a holiday home for them and their three children, with a budget of £150,000 and wiggle room up to £180,000. They told presenter Jean Johansson they were looking for a laid-back lifestyle outside of the hustle and bustle of Paphos, hoping for a home with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outside space and close proximity to the coast.

John is disappointed with the first property in a shared complex, but when Jean goes onto show them beautiful townhouses he seems more positive.
However, after showing the couple three fantastic properties, Jean said "I'll be honest you seem a bit underwhelmed I don't know what it is". Maxine said: "I think we're just spoilt with the previous property". She added: "I think we're just holding judgement until we see the rest." After seeing the final property, John said to Jean: "I feel you've given us a bit of a headache".
The indecisive couple struggle to make a compromise between their favourite property, or choosing to be closer to the beach in a different home.
They decide to put an offer of £140,000 into a property they love which was listed at just under £157,000. Maxine said: "What will be will be". After a back and forth, their final offer of £144,000 was declined and they will continue their search.
