A Place in the Sun star fumes 'you didn't tell me' as buyers make unexpected confession
During a property hunt in Corfu for A Place in the Sun, presenter Laura Hamilton was caught off guard by a couple's reaction to a potential home in Ipsos.
The Channel 4 favourite was guiding newlyweds Lisa and Wayne, who quickly expressed their disappointment with the location, despite its proximity to the beach.
Lisa remarked: "It's definitely a younger crowd in this part of the island, we always said we wouldn't buy anywhere in Ipsos."
Laura, surprised, responded: "You didn't tell me that when we met! That would've been helpful."
The couple assured Laura they were keeping an open mind and proceeded to view the interior, but their enthusiasm didn't improve upon entering the kitchen and living area. Wayne expressed his letdown as he commented: "This is a little bit disappointing in this area."

Laura replied: "You've just got to remember, it's just under £84,000. Obviously, I know your budget is significantly more than that and if there was a two-bed with a larger lounge in this area, I would 100% be showing it to you. But, this is literally all I've been able to get here for any kind of budget."
Lisa swiftly informed Laura that the property wouldn't work as their holiday home, reports the Mirror.
Despite their initial reluctance, the couple agreed to check out the outdoor space to see what else the property had to offer.
As they surveyed the patio, Lisa admitted it was a solid outdoor space, with Wayne in agreement. She then pointed out: "I guess, the inside is too small, no living area and the area's great for young ones as a rental potential, but I don't think for us."
To which Laura responded: "We're ruling it out, that's a no-brainer. Location? Ok, I'm hearing that."
It was only upon discovering the fifth and final property that the couple showed any real enthusiasm, telling Laura that all previous viewings paled in comparison.
The standalone residence in Acharavi was an immediate success, particularly with Lisa, who couldnt hide her excitement over the external terrace.
Lisa enthused about the property: "It's amazing, really loved it. What you're getting for your money compared to the others, there's no comparison."
When it came time to make an offer, they went in at £145,000, below the listed price of £153,000 yet, to their delight, it was accepted without hesitation.
A Place in the Sun continues weekdays on Channel 4 from 4pm.
