A Place in the Sun's Jean Johansson fights back tears as house hunter 'in pieces'
A Place in the Sun presenter Jean Johansson was on the verge of tears in the latest episode of the Channel 4 show. The emotional scene unfolded when siblings Catherine and Michael were shown the last property of their quest, a picturesque three-bedroom apartment with a roof terrace located in Puerto La Duquesa.
Catherine, visibly moved by the stunning views from the apartment, was overcome with emotions, expressing to Jean: "It feels right. It feels brilliant. I'm tingling all over. I feel quite emotional, I just want to get in and see the property."
When Jean asked what exactly sparked such a strong reaction, Catherine, struggling to keep her composure, admitted she wasn't sure, emotively adding: "You're going to make me cry on telly!"

As they delved deeper into the details of the apartment, Jean revealed it boasted a rooftop that commanded even more spectacular sea vistas, reports Wales Online. Michael's reaction mirrored his sister's amazement, as he managed only to say: "Speechless, I'm speechless!"
Amid playful banter about him usually being more articulate, Catherine shared her continued struggle with her feelings as she added: "I'm in pieces, I'm gone. I'm not normally emotional." Jean, witnessing Catherine getting teary replied: "Oh, don't you'll start me off, you really will."
Encouraging the pair to absorb the moment, Jean disclosed that the dreamy apartment carried a price tag just shy of £194,000. Jean knew the flat was at the higher end of their budget, but she couldn't help pointing out that it met all of Catherine and Michael's needs. When they set foot inside, the pair were utterly mesmerised.
Having inspected every nook and cranny, Jean enquired about their feelings, only to be taken aback as they wanted to make an offer there and then. Overjoyed by their decisiveness, the Channel 4 presenter replied: "That is brilliant! I am so happy, you are not beating around the bush. I really wasn't expecting that you know. People usually need a couple of hours of consultation or phoning people at home."
They started with an offer of £177,000, which Jean immediately relayed to the seller. But following a brief phone conversation, it was turned down with a counter-proposal of £190,000.
Catherine and Michael agreed they would go for it if the sellers included the furniture for that price. To their fortune, the estate agent confirmed this could be arranged, which had Catherine squealing in delight at the news the apartment was now theirs.
