A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton says 'I'm tempted' as she hints at career move
A Place in the Sun’s Laura Hamilton has hinted at a potential career move on her podcast the Mile Fly Club. Speaking to Andrea McLean, Laura, 42, said she had been tempted to follow her guests’ lead and go on the TV show ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
She explained: “We’ve had chats about it and I would be intrigued because I’d love to test myself and see how far I could be pushed.” Laura then asked Andrea why she had taken part.
Andrea replied: “The reason I did it was because I wanted to see what I was capable of because I’ve always known I’m a very resilient woman. I might be quiet, I might be a little bit introverted, a little bit nerdy and all the things.

"But I’m also quite robust but I wanted to see how far I could push myself when someone else was setting those boundaries rather than me setting my own boundaries and I think we’re quite similar."
Andrea added: “We’ll push ourselves to see what our capabilities are we’re curious about what those boundaries are.” The topic of potential new TV shows wasn’t the only topic that Laura and Andrea discussed.
They also talked about relationships and Laura opened up about her recent divorce from Alex Goward last year. She spoke about how she felt she had been getting a lot of criticism for getting divorced in her 40s and that she didn’t feel that happy.
Laura explained: “I've had quite a bit of stick for the fact (getting divorced in her 40s) that well, you know, you're a 40-year-old woman, why would a 40-year-old woman leave a marriage?
“It must be someone's having an affair. Well, it's kind of actually, no, it's like I'm just not happy going on the destination that I want to be heading to right now in this relationship and I want to change my route, my path. I kind of felt like, that's enough, that's okay for that to be enough.” On whether she would remarry, Laura said: “I've got to be honest, I've done it once and I'm not sure I'd do it again.”
