Scarlette Douglas is set to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!'.

The former 'A Place In The Sun’ presenter is the latest name to be unveiled as a contestant on the Ant and Dec-fronted ITV reality show - which is returning to Australia after two years filming in North Wales’ Gwrych Castle, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions - after Boy George, Mike Tindall and Olivia Attwood were all rumoured to be appearing in the jungle this year.

An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Scarlette has what it takes to become a big household name like Stacey Solomon and Joel Dommett after her time in the jungle.

“She has proved to be a hit amongst viewers following the success of her property shows and there is no doubt that she will be inundated with offers for more telly gigs.”

Recently, Scarlette explained “burnout” prompted her to walk away from the long-running property show.

She said: “Last year we couldn’t really travel because of COVID and Brexit and all of that sort of stuff, but then in August I got stuck in Spain with COVID for two weeks.

“When I looked at my diary for this year and at the end of last year I had a bit of a burnout, I had a bit of a meltdown.

“I thought, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do this’, but by the grace of God and a lot of vitamins and a lot of water, it is kind of getting me through.”

A rep for ITV said: “We’ll announce our line-up nearer transmission.”

ITV are yet to confirm the show's start date, but the latest series is expected to begin on November 6th.

An ITV source said: “We’ll announce the start date for the new series of 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' in due course.”
