Plane Drops Retardant as Caldor Fire Containment Grows

California’s 333-square-mile Caldor Fire reached 29 percent containment in the morning hours of September 3, fire officials reported.

Over 4,000 fire personnel and 27 helicopters worked on controlling the fire, which destroyed more than 800 structures by September 3, according to Cal Fire.
