Boeing 737 Dumps Load on Bushfire at Angourie, New South Wales

The New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) warned strong southerly winds could hamper attempts to battle bushfires on Tuesday, September 10.

NSW RFS said gusts up to 80kph were likely by 11am and warned residents of Angourie, Wooloweyah, Gulmarrad and Yamba to have a plan in place if a fire approaches.

Daniel Kelly said he filmed this video of a NSW RFS waterbomber dropping a load of fire retardant over Angourie on Monday, September 9, around 2pm.

He said: “I was checking on a friend’s house to see if it was affected by bushfire. The waterbomber went over and dropped its load. Everyone is very tense here and concerned about the strong winds.” Credit: Daniel Kelly via Storyful
