Friday 31 January is Brexit’s point of no return: the end of the article 50 process, which cannot be reversed. Many believe it will be decades before any attempt can be made to rejoin the EU.

Brexiters were hoping to hold celebrations to the chimes of Big Ben at 11pm on the day the UK formally leaves the bloc , but what about those who are mourning the Britain’s departure after 47 years?
