Plans for new Glasgow Starbucks in southside lodged
Plans have been lodged for a new Starbucks to be built in the southside of Glasgow.
An application for planning consent from Starbucks Coffee Co has been sent to the council requesting permission for "illuminated signage" at 120 Grange Road in Battlefield.
According to planning papers, the Starbucks would be situated close to the M&S Food and across the road from the Battlefield Rest restaurant.

Consent has previously been granted for an "extension of opening hours" at the cafe, with the council allowing the American coffee chain opening hours of 7am-10pm every day.
A building warrant for a "shop fit out" at the site was also granted earlier this year to "form a new coffee shop".
The Starbucks will be part of a project to build 400 flats at the former Victoria Infirmary in Battlefield. The former hospital was opened in 1890 and closed in 2015 before being demolished.
Glasgow City Council will consider the plans in the coming weeks.
