Plans for an inflatable theme park in Hull have been revealed.

Hull City Council has received an application for an inflatable theme park to be opened in the city.

Unit 12 at Hull's St Andrew's Quay retail park has been vacant for eight years ever since PC World shut up shop in 2016, but now an application has now been made to transform the empty unit into an inflatable theme park.

The theme park would be run by Inflata Nation, a company that provides inclusive family-friendly indoor inflatable theme parks suitable for adults and children of all ages, with designated areas for children under 4 and disability-friendly sessions.

After opening their first theme park in Manchester in 2017, Inflata Nation has now added several other sites across the UK in cities such as Birmingham, Glasgow, and Newcastle to their portfolio.

The proposed development will comprise an indoor arena with a range of large inflatable activities, including climbing walls, giant slides, and ball pools.

Hull City Council will now decide if the application is to be successful.
