Playboy heir Cooper Hefner marries Harry Potter star Scarlett Byrne

Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper has married British actress Scarlett Byrne.

The 28-year-old Playboy heir has officially tied the knot with the 29-year-old actress - who played Slytherin student Pansy Parkinson in the Harry Potter movies - at a registry office in Ventura, California.

The couple revealed the are now planning a wedding ceremony to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

Byrne, who posed nude for Playboy magazine in February 2017, wrote on Instagram: “Cooper and I are excited to share that we legally married. We are looking forward to planning our wedding in the coming months where we will celebrate further with our friends and family. I love you Cooper. I am proud to stand by your side, as your partner, your friend, and your wife. I cannot wait to continue building a life together. My heart is so full and I am so grateful for our love.”

The couple kept their big day casual, with the Falling Skies actress wearing a simple white, fitted slip dress with lace detailing, while Hefner wore a suit and open-necked shirt. Byrne’s dress has a peplum waist which conceals her stomach.

Cooper tweeted: “Scarlett and I have made it officially legal and the two of us could not be happier. Cheers to a life full of love, happiness, adventure, and great purpose, Mrs. Hefner. I very much look forward to planning our wedding celebrations in the months ahead. I love you, Scarlett.”

The couple have been engaged since August 2015.

Cooper is the youngest of the late Hugh Hefner’s four children. He has a brother Marston, who is just one year older than him, who the Playboy mogul fathered with second wife Kimberley Conrad.

He also has a half-sister Christie, 66, and 64-year-old half-brother David, who Hef had with his first wife Millie Williams.

Cooper is a businessman and was previously the chief creative officer Playboy Enterprises. According to his Twitter account, is now CEO of Stag Daily, a company launching in 2020, promising to “arouse and inform”.

Hugh Hefner died in 2017 aged 91, leaving behind an estimated $50 million fortune and a business empire based around the Playboy brand.
