Fingers on lips, fans, because this is one secret you will struggle to keep shush.

I Marlene King's Pretty Little Liars may have reached an end after seven exciting seasons earlier this year, but now at least we have yet more tantalising details are about its spin-off show The Perfectionists.

After a pilot was ordered back in September, a search is now underway to cast six series regulars alongside returning stars Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish.

Thanks to TV Line, there are several descriptions of some of the new names we can expect to see more from.

First up, there is Caitlin Martell-Lewis, the daughter of two over-achieving mothers. With a particular ability to keep secrets, Caitlin hopes to follow in the family's political footsteps to become a US senator – if her own secrets don't stop her first.

Next, the TV is teasing a committed couple that have the potential to be huge fan favourites in Dylan and Andrew, with Dylan being a brilliant cellist with a passion for music and Andrew dedicated to his architectural studies.

Finally, the descriptions reveal we can also expect to hear more from trendsetting fashionista Ava Jalali, master manipulator and "natural born leader" Nolan Hotchkiss, and British scientist Jeremy Beckett.

While these character names may sound familiar if you've read Sara Shepard's books, the TV series is making a few changes, so everyone will be in for a surprise if the pilot does get the go-ahead.

The Perfectionists is based on Pretty Little Liars writer Sara Shepard's book, and follows the adventures of five high school students who bond over their mutual hatred of a school bully.

"Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be," Freeform's description of the series reads.

"The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town's first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi."

With more secrets, more scandal, and more sex, expect The Perfectionists to be just as pretty and petty as Pretty Little Liars was.

Lets just hope that King's latest instalment to the PLL family can do better than 2013's short-lived Ravenswood at least.
