Seven seasons of unravelling mysteries, piecing together all the clues and wondering exactly WHO the heck Uber A actually is, and it's come down to this: Pretty Little Liars only has a few episodes left. Sob.

Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily on the show, has raved about the ending of the series, dubbed 'Endgame'.

"I think we're ending it at the most perfect time and honestly, there couldn't have been a better ending for this," she said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"The whole arc, I don't know how you guys did it, to honestly keep a mystery going on for that long and still have every episode be such an amazing one to watch that's kept the fans engaged is incredible.

"And truly, you guys wrapped this up perfectly."

If you've been following the show, the Liars – Emily, Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Ali – have been trying to discover who the latest 'A' is that has been torturing them.

And when we say torture, we really mean it. There's been kidnaps, shootings, hundreds of murders, bodies going missing... you get the point.

This last season has the girls playing a dangerous board game, collecting puzzle pieces to hopefully finally end it once and for all.

Showrunner I Marlene King has been the driving force around the mystery that has had fans guessing from day one (while she's known who Uber A is all along, naturally) and she shared her thoughts on the show ending too.

"I think, when it's a great mix of drama and mystery..." she said. "We tried really hard in the finale, as Shay was saying, to deliver really high-stakes emotion but also high-stakes mystery, too."

Marlene previously called this last season "a love letter to the fans" where ALL the questions will finally be answered.

"I think that when shows end there's always a group of people who aren't happy about it, but I think the majority of people will be happy with the ending," King revealed.
