Plow Truck Works on Freeing Vehicles From I-95 Near Stafford Airport

Motorists were stranded for hours overnight into January 4 on Interstate 95 after portions of the snow-covered roadway were blocked by “disabled vehicles and downed trees” near Fredericksburg, Virginia, authorities said.

Footage posted on Twitter by @jentravis79, who said it was filmed before exit 136 towards Stafford Airport, shows two stuck trucks and a plow truck working to remove snow from the road.

Virginia’s Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported on Tuesday evening that “no people” remained stranded on the I-95.

“Less than 20 vehicles left to be removed from the interstate before plow trains will come through to remove snow and ice from the travel lanes,” VDOT said. Credit: @jentravis79 via Storyful
