Plumstead murder: Young man dies after 'being attacked with machete' in south-east London

A man in his 20s has been stabbed to death in a house in south-east London.

Metropolitan Police officers rushed to Bournewood Road, Plumstead, following reports of a knife attack around 4.30pm on Monday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, Scotland Yard confirmed.

Pictures posted on social media showed a police cordon on the residential road.

Witnesses claimed on social media that the man had been found inside an address close to the junction with Wickham Lane after being attacked with a machete.

A Met Police spokesman said: “The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed.

“There have been no arrests at this time.

“Enquiries continue.”
