Plymouth clothing brand is named 'UK's best' for children's swimwear

A Plymouth baby and toddler clothing brand has been named one of the UK's 'best.' Swimovations, a family company based in Plympton, who created the Konfidence swimwear brand more than 25 years ago, has been recognised at this year’s Green Bambini Awards.

The brand has been named the UK’s Best Green Baby & Toddler Brand for its Splashy eco-swimwear range, which is uniquely constructed using the company’s own innovative e-Flex material.

The Green Bambini Awards recognise and showcase ‘the greatest in organic, sustainable, natural and innovative green products for little ones’; and the Swimovations team is delighted that real mums, dads, parents and carers have tried and tested the Konfidence Splashy swimwear products and out of all the entries, awarded Konfidence the overall title of Best Green Baby & Toddler Brand.

In addition to the Gold award for best brand; in the Best Green Swimming Product category, the Splashy Swim Nappy and Splashy Swimsuit scored Silver and the Splashy AquaNappy received Bronze. The new Splashy AquaNappy made from e-Flex™ also won Gold for Best Reusable Swim Nappy.

Konfidence’s Splashy range was developed by the company’s in-house design team in 2019 to be an eco-friendly and innovative alternative to traditional neoprene, which is unrecyclable – and all the products made from e-Flex, including the Splashy AquaNappy, Splashy Swim Nappy, Splashy Swimsuit and Warma™ Swimsuit represent a world-first in baby and children’s swimwear designs.
