Plymouth court list includes 32 in trouble
Among those this week who have been sentenced by magistrates is a man who last appeared at the beginning of the year, having threatened to cut his mother-in-law's throat.
In addition to a 21 month jail sentence he received in January, Samuel Joce was also made subject of a restraining order for the next seven years. However, on November 10 he breached the order by contacting his former partner.
Meanwhile, another man who appeared at court evidently felt that paying for goods at Co-op was not of interest to him and he racked up more than a dozen incidents of shoplifting, swiping several hundred pounds worth of goods.

He received a jail sentence as magistrates discovered that he committed the offences while on bail - and that the items were "not for personal use".
A 15-year-old boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - also appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court during the week in question having eventually been caught riding a moped along North Road West.
The court heard that among his many offences of failing to have a licence, insurance and a helmet, he also rode the bike without due care and attention. He also failed to stop when told to do so by a police officer.
