Plymouth Parkway’s pre-season roadmap has been set out, and Yellows fans can now mark their calendars as new first team manager Chris McPhee and assistant Manager Lee Peacock settle into management life at Bolitho Park against some familiar local non-league names.

With maintenance work being carried out on the Bolitho surface, the Yellows have scheduled just one home fixture, but it will be a fiercely competitive pre-season encounter as local rivals Tavistock head to PL5.

The remaining pre-season schedule, as in previous years, will become a Devon county roadshow with a much enjoyed day out in Cornwall back on the agenda in August. The Yellows return to Southern Road and their friends from Exmouth, who superbly accommodated Parkway during their grueling end-of-season run-in. Kevin Hill and his side will be a tough opening fixture of pre-season and a perfect way to kick-start the campaign.

Further Devon fixtures will follow in the shape of Buckland Athletic, Bideford AFC, and Willand Rovers. All these fixtures will provide a different challenge as pre-season gathers momentum.

Parkway finish with a fixture enjoyed by Yellows fans and a train trip to face Jake Ash’s Mousehole. This fixture is back on the calendar after a trip to Falmouth was scheduled last season, but the trip to the picturesque Trungle Park will no doubt provide a final tough test, and a great day out for the fans.

With Macca and Peaks acclimatising to life at Bolitho, the new management is currently busy with all aspects of the first team preparations, and further news and communications will be released in due course as the new era takes shape.

Pre-season schedule: July 9 – Exmouth Town (A) 7.30pm, July 13 – Tavistock (H) 3pm, July 19 – Buckland Athletic (A) 7.30pm, July 23 – Bideford (A) 7.30pm, July 27 – Willand Rovers (A) 3pm, Aug 3 – Mousehole (A) 3pm.
