Plymouth's Drive-In Cinema putting on film bonanza

The Drive-In Cinema in Plymouth has announced its new season features. Taking place at Harpers Football Centre, formerly Goals Plymouth sports centre, the events run on January 24, 25 and 26.

An announcement from the club said: “Kick off the new year with a starlit movie experience at Plymouth’s very own Drive-In Cinema, taking place at Harpers Football Centre. Gather your family, friends, and cosy blankets for three days of beloved classic and family-favourite films, all enjoyed from the comfort of your car.

"This unique experience promises the perfect blend of nostalgia and modern fun. Pack your snacks or indulge in delicious treats from our onsite food vendors offering everything from popcorn to hot chocolate. Whether you wish to revisit an old favourite or discover something new, this event is designed for all ages and makes for the perfect winter evening out.”

Movies will be shown on an LED screen “creating a visually stunning display that’s hard to miss”. Tickets, costing £25 per car, are limited, the club said, and can be booked now here.

The gates open an hour before the showing, so for a 1.30pm, gates open 12.30pm. For a 4.30pm show, gates open 3.30pm, and for a 7.30pm show, gates open 6.30pm.

The club said: “We monitor weather forecasts in the lead up to our events and should there ever be any concern regarding this, we will notify all ticket holders via our social media platforms.

“In the event that we need to cancel we will offer you a credit note for your ticket to use at any future screening. We are not able to offer refunds.”
