PM expects 'bumps in the road' with Rwanda deportation policy

Boris Johnson has said the Government will not be deflected from its policy of deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda by legal challenges. Speaking during a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, the Prime Minister said: “When I first announced the policy, I said it would take a long time to get going, there would be potentially legal challenges, there would be bumps in the road. “It may take a while to get working properly, that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to keep going. “I think it is very important we continue to show the people traffickers their business case is going to be undermined and they are cheating people.”
