Poachers Kill Rhino in Paris Zoo (File)

Poachers broke into a Paris zoo overnight Monday, March 6, and killed a four-year-old endangered white rhinoceros for his horn. Two other rhinos, 37-year-old Gracie and five-year-old Bruno, were not harmed, the zoo said.

Vince arrived at the Thoiry Zoological Park in March 2015 from the Netherlands.

The black market rhinoceros horn trade has seen a marked uptick in recent years because of its alleged – and unproven – cancer-fighting properties.
