Yahoo News Poetry meets photography in Alexi Lubomirski’s new book
The leading fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski has released a beautiful book that brings together some of his most striking imagery with deeply personal poetry.
Based in New York, Lubomirski is renowned for having taken Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official engagement and wedding portraits, as well as for shooting for magazines including T&C’s sister title Harper’s Bazaar. In this book, he showcases the full breadth of his talents with a mix of dramatic landscapes, eye-catching botanical details and intimate portraits, including a particularly touching image of his beloved wife Giada, combined with examples of his poetry.
“Several years ago […] I made a decision to allow any form of creative inspiration to manifest itself into whatever medium served it best, be it poetry, prose, painting or, of course, photography,” writes Lubomirski in the introduction to the book, all proceeds from which will go to the charity Concern Worldwide. This is a very special volume created to support a truly valuable cause.
