Poland Says 1,000 Migrants Remain at Belarus Border

Approximately 1,000 people remained camped at the Poland-Belarus border on November 17, Polish authorities said, after Belarus reported that 1,000 had been transferred to a logistics center.

The State Border Committee of Belarus said roughly 1,000 people slept in a heated facility near the border, and were provided with food, as were those still camped close to the frontier.

The developments followed clashes at the Kuznica-Bruzgi border crossing.

Polish police said seven officers were injured on Tuesday as migrants threw stones from the Belarusian side and Polish forces responded with water cannons and tear gas.
