Police appeal after vehicle pursuit in Accrington

Police are appealing for information after a pursuit in Accrington.

On social media, Hyndburn residents were speculating over an increased police presence in the area this morning. According to Lancashire Constabulary, at around 10.45am, officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Belfield Road.

It failed to come to a stop and was pursued, before later being seized. Now, officers are working to locate those from the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said: "At around 10:45am, our officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Belfield Road, Accrington. The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued by our officers. The car later stopped and has been seized.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate those from the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log 0321 of 22nd November."
