Police appeal after fatal collision in east London

Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man died following a collision in east London.

Officers were called to the collision between a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a grey BMW 1 Series just before 1am on Saturday on the M11 in Redbridge,

The Vauxhall hit the barriers near Junction 4 and a man, aged in his 20s, who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Three other men travelling in the Vectra were taken to hospital with another of the passengers in a critical condition.

The driver of the Vectra, a 24-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.

The driver of the BMW, a 22-year-old woman, was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has been taken into police custody.
