Police appeal to find man over vehicle break-in in South Shields

Police are looking for a man the wish to speak to in relation to a vehicle break-in in the South Shields area.

Northumbria Police has released an image of the man, and wish to speak with him in connection with a series of attempted break-ins - and one successful theft - from cars parked in the Simonside area of the town. The reported crimes took place in the early hours, between 4am and 5am, of October 17 this year.

It was reported that a lone offender tried to access a number of vehicles, before eventually succeeding and then stealing the contents of one vehicle before leaving the area.

It is understood the man police are seeking was in the area at the time police hope they can assist with the investigation.
