Police appeal after motorcyclist killed in smash on A13

The police have issued an appeal after a motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a collision on the A13 died in hospital.

Officers were called at just after 7am on Saturday, January 15, to reports a motorcyclist had hit the central reservation on the westbound A13 near the Beckton Flyover.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a 19-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he died on Sunday, 16 January.

His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances and would like to hear from any witnesses or drivers who may have dash cam footage.
