Police appeal as shopper 'hit by car' outside North Staffordshire Aldi

Police are investigating after a shopper was struck by a car outside a North Staffordshire supermarket. The woman was said to have been packing her shopping away on Aldi's Stone car park when the incident occurred.

Now Staffordshire Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward. The collision took place at around 2.15pm on November 3.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We received a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Aldi car park on Stafford Road, Stone. The pedestrian, a woman, had been packing her shopping into driver’s side of a car when it happened.

"The car involved is believed to be a dark blue or black vehicle driven by a white man, aged between 40 and 50. Our inquiries are underway and we would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened."

Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident 592 of November 3.
