Durham Constabulary has issued an appeal to help find three stolen weeks-old ferrets.

The furry animals are just six weeks old and are believed to have been stolen from a hutch in the rear garden of a house in Moor Edge, Brandon. This is reported to have taken place at around 6am on Friday September 13.

The little animals are technically polecat-ferret hybrids. Their owner said: "I am devastated at the theft of my pets. They are only babies - I cannot believe that someone would be so heartless as to steal them.
