Missing Newcastle man, 66, believed to be heading to country park found

Police searching for a 66-year-old man who was reported missing have confirmed he has been found.

Thomas Reay had last been seen in the Silver Lonnen area of Fenham, Newcastle, at around 7am on Wednesday (May 29). Officers and his family were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Thomas was believed to have travelled to the West Allotment Country Park area in North Tyneside and a large police presence could be seen around the Silverlink Biodiversity Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Northumbria Police confirmed just before 5pm that Thomas had been found.
