A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another teenager was knifed to death in north London.

Detectives arrested the youngster on Tuesday afternoon over the murder of Joao Ricardo Gomes, 18, in Enfield on May 13.

Scotland Yard confirmed he has since been released under investigation.

Mr Gomes became the thirteenth person to be killed by a knife on the capital’s streets in three weeks when a private party publicised on Snapchat raged out of control.
