A vehicle was dramatically stopped by police in Wiltshire.

Officers from the Armed Response Group and Roads Policing Unit conducted an operation to box a car on cloned plates in Leigh.

Cops from Gloucestershire Police were also involved.

Once the vehicle was safely stopped it was discovered that the driver had no insurance or a driving licence.

The cloned plates and vehicle were seized and the driver was reported.

Writing on social media, WiltsSpecOps said: “Wiltshire #RPU and #ARG worked with @Glos_Police officers to box this car in Leigh Wiltshire, it was a confirmed cloned vehicle and the driver had no insurance or driving licence.

“Reg plates taken and vehicle seized. Driver reported to court.”

Under the Road Traffic Act 1988, police have the power to seize any vehicle if the driver has no licence or cannot prove they are insured.
