Police Break Up Group of Abortion-Rights Protesters in Warsaw as New Law Comes Into Effect

Protest continued on the streets in Warsaw, Poland, on the night of January 28-29 after controversial abortion laws came into effect.

This footage shows demonstrators dancing and chanting outside the Constitutional Tribunal building in Warsaw, as police attempt to break up the group.

The law, banning abortion except in cases of rape or incest, or where the mother’s health is at risk, was passed in October, but implementation was delayed by protests. Credit: Magda Kulej via Storyful
