Police are calling for any witnesses to come forward as they continue to investigate the death of a man in Essex yesterday morning.
Officers were called to an address in Nelson Grove, Chelmsford at around 4.30am on Monday (July 25) following reports of a man having been badly injured.
Despite best efforts, the man, a victim in his 40s, was sadly pronounced dead.
At this stage, Essex Police says his death is being treated as a "homocide investigation".
A spokesman for the force said: "We have already spoken to a number of people nearby to obtain accounts, but we need anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam or ring doorbell between 11pm on Sunday and 4.30am on Monday to contact us."

Officers from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested a 25-year-old man from Chelmsford yesterday on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident.
Residents of Nelson Grove and the surrounding area will notice an increased police presence over the coming week.
A scene is expected to remain in place at the address for at least three days.
