Police in Cumbria are appealing for information after a teenage boy was reported to have been assaulted in Carlisle today.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:10am on January 28 at Durranhill Road, Carlisle.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Police received a report that an unknown male, suspected to be aged in his mid-teens, was assaulted by an adult male.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and ascertain the full circumstances of this incident.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or a white car, seen leaving the area shortly after the assault occurred, to get in touch."
