Police called to pensioner brawl in Halifax town centre with man, 60, arrested

A man has been injured after being punched and kicked in the street in Halifax.

West Yorkshire Police say this took place outside of the Halifax Bank in Market Street at 12pm on Wednesday, September 4. A 65-year-old man was punched and kicked.

Now, a 60-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault.

The police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Halifax.

"The incident occurred in front of the Halifax bank in Market Street at around 12noon on Wednesday, 4 September.

"A 60-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, in which a 65-year-old man was punched and kicked."

The police say the area was full of shoppers at the time and are asking for anyone who saw something to come forward by calling them on 101 or by going online, quoting reference number 13240481701..
