Police called to rush-hour smash at busy Stoke-on-Trent junction

Police were called out to a rush-hour crash at a busy junction. Officers were sent to Birches Head Road, in Carmountside, at the junction with Leek Road, where they found two cars had collided.

During the height of the incident there were delays not only on Birches Head Road, but on Leek Road and Redhills Road too.

Now Staffordshire Police have confirmed nobody was hurt as a result of yesterday morning's collision. Officers were sent to the scene at 8.15am.

A spokeswoman for the constabulary said: "We were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Stoke-on-Trent. The collision, on Birches Head Road at the junction with Leek Road, involved a Hyundai I20 and a Vauxhall Corsa. No-one was injured."
