Police Chase Car Thieves Over Fences and Into Shrubbery

The Police Air Wing was called to assist when three people fled in a stolen car after trying to rob a residence in Maddington, Perth, on Saturday, October 21.

After leaving the residence at about 10:50 pm in a Holden Adventra, which had been stolen the Monday previous, the trio were spotted by police, who tried unsuccessfully to stop the car. Later, police again located the vehicle and tracked it using the support of the Police Air Wing, finally stopping them using a stinger device to deflate the car’s tyres.

The offenders fled on foot, but police eventually stopped and arrested two of them, a 19-year-old and a 27-year-old.

At time of publication, police were still trying to locate the third man. Credit: Western Australia Police via Storyful
