Police 'concerned for welfare' of missing Gravesend woman, 84

A missing woman is the subject of a police appeal this evening (Wednesday). Doreen Whittam, who is 84, was last seen in the Tennyson Walk area of Gravesend.

Police say they are concerned for her welfare. They have released a full description, below.

Kent Police said: "Officers are appealing for the public’s help in trying to locate a missing woman from Gravesend. Doreen Whittam, 84 was last seen in the Tennyson Walk area at about 2.15pm on Wednesday 29 May 2024 and officers are concerned for her welfare.

"The image on the right is taken from doorbell footage in the area and is believed to be the last known sighting. Doreen is described as a white female, about four feet 11 inches tall and of medium build.

"She is thought to be wearing a white T-shirt and black trousers. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 999 quoting 29-1010."
