Police cordon off road near Lime Street Station after man assaulted in early hours
A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted in the city centre. Police were called to Bolton Street, near Lime Street Station, at 5.38am on Saturday, August 21.
One man was assaulted and taken to hospital for treatment, a force incident manager at Merseyside Police told the ECHO. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown and police are awaiting an update.
When the ECHO arrived at the scene this morning at around 10.30am, a cordon remained in place at the junction of Bolton Street and Copperas Hill, near the Adelphi Hotel. A police officer could also be seen standing outside Rileys Sports Bar.
