Police descend on main road after Audi and Ford Focus crash

Emergency services surrounded a main road after a car crash.

Police arrived on Seaforth Road in Seaforth just after 3pm today, June 5, after reports of a crash between two cars. According to Merseyside Police, the crash involved an Audi and a Ford Focus.

A photograph of the scene sent in by an eyewitness showed a fire crew was also present to deal with the incident.

No cordon was put in place and the road is reportedly open. However, police warned "there may be some congestion" in the area while they wait for the vehicles to be recovered.

Police confirmed those involved in the crash sustained "slight injuries", but they were not taken to hospital.
