Police Drop Off Autistic Boy at Texas School for First Day Back

Police in Freeport, Texas, drove an autistic 6-year-old boy named Liam to school in their “Autism Awareness Humvee” on September 8 for his first day back after his mother said he’d been having a hard time, police said.

The Freeport Police Department said: “His mom contacted the police department and shared how Liam had not been coping very well lately and wanted to do something to make him feel better. She asked if we would be willing to pick him up in our Autism Humvee and take him to school on his first day back. Of course we said yes and loved it!”
