Police Escort Motorcycle Santa on Charity Ride in Maryland

Santa began a journey on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on December 8, leaving a police station in Germantown, Maryland, to bring gifts to seriously ill children in Bethesda, police said.

Footage shows officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police escorting Santa out of the station. According to reports, Santa and the police officers were on a mission to pick up gifts from local businesses and organizations and transport them to the children and families at The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health.

The Children’s Inn is a nonprofit “that provides residential services and a wide range of programs to children, teens, and young adults with rare and serious diseases whose best hope for a diagnosis or treatment is an NIH clinical research study,” according to its website.
