Man missing from Banchory man last seen on Tuesday found safe and well

Police have confirmed they have located a missing 57-year-old man from Banchory.

Ian Rendall was last seen at around 3pm on Tuesday, May 28 in the Raemoir Road area of the town.

Ian was last seen wearing a blue and white top and he wears glasses.

Officers said at the time they are extremely concerned for Ian's wellbeing and safety and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch.

Inspector Rhona Di Meola said: “We have teams of uniformed and specialist officers searching the local area and outskirts for Ian.

“I’d urge anyone who has information on his whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen him since around 3pm yesterday, to get in touch with us urgently.

“Ian, if you see this appeal, please contact police so we can make sure you’re okay.”

In their latest update, they confirmed: "Thank you for sharing our appeal to trace 57-year-old Ian Rendall who was missing from Banchory. Ian has now been traced in the Banchory area."
