Police fear burglar wearing England cap could target other Nottingham businesses after restaurant break-in

Police want help finding a man caught on CCTV wearing an England cap and a face covering in relation to a burglary at a sushi restaurant in Nottingham city centre. Kokoro, in Exchange Walk, was broken into in the early hours of Wednesday, June 12.

An intruder smashed open a till but left empty handed after entering at around 2am. Video footage also shows the burglar using a chair to smash through an internal door.

Officers now want anyone who might recognise the man in the photo or video to come forward. PC Ashley Hewitt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Although the burglar left empty handed, it is important we find the offender to prevent him targeting other businesses.

“The individual was wearing an England cap and face covering, but we’re hoping someone will recognise him from his eyes. If you know who he is, please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting crime number 24*344420 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
